The night that the COMPFEST Competition’s participants have been waiting for, Awarding Night, was held on Sunday, September 27, 2020. The night of awarding the winners of the competition was held via a conference call through the Zoom application. The event was attended by participants from all COMPFEST Competition branches, namely Bizz-IT, Competitive Programming Competition, Capture the Flag, and Indie Game Ignite.

This year’s Awarding Night began with the welcoming speech from Muhammad Fachri Anandito as Project Officer of COMPFEST 12, Ahmad Naufal Hilmy as Chair of BEM Fasilkom UI, Mr. Prihandoko as a representative of ILUNI12, and Mr. Petrus Mursanto as Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs.

After the welcoming speech session, the Awarding Night event was continued with the announcement of the winners of this year’s COMPFEST Competition. Here’s the list of the winners who received the awards

Congratulations to the winners! The win today recounts the tale of your unyielding boldness. Also, thank you to all of the participants, make today’s competition a stepping stone to bigger and better things in the future.

Our editorial team also interviewed one of the champions, Muhammad Salman Al-Farisi who had won the Senior Competitive Programming this year. During the interview session, Salman shared his experience of participating in the competition and Awarding Night. Salman said, during the competition which was entirely held online, he did not experience any obstacles but only felt a slightly different atmosphere compared to the competitions which were held offline. Salman also shared the tips and strategies he used and that is by practicing frequently and participating in competitions to get used to the challenge. He also praised the committee for using the Scoreboard Resolver to announce the winner of the SCPC competition.
