UI Computer Science Faculty Hosts Workshop Internasional
Bidang Big Data & Information Security
(IWBIS 2018)
The Faculty of Computer Science Universitas Indonesia (Fasilkom UI) organized an international Big Data and Information Security workshop or known as the IWBIS (International Workshop on Big Data and Information Security) on 12-13 May 2018 in Balai Kartini Exhibition and Convention Center, Jakarta inviting IT academics and practicioners from inside and outside the country.
Opening ceremony was delivered by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Anis (Universitas Indonesia Rector), and Mirna Adriani, Ph.D. (Dean of Fasilkom UI). The other invites were Adila Alfa Krisnadhi, Ph.D. & Prof. Dr. Eng. Wisnu Jatmiko (General Chairs IWBIS 2018) and keynote speakers: Prof. Stéphane Bressan (National University of Singapore, SG), Prof. Juliana Sutanto (Lancaster University, UK), and Dr. M. Ivan Fanany (Universitas Indonesia, ID). There were 11 countries taking part in the IWBIS 2018; Indonesia, Russia, Japan, Swiss, The Phillipines, Germany, Italy, Engalnd, Singapore, Croatia, and Australia.
This 2018 year was the third time of the Workshop Internasional IWBIS being conducted https://iwbis.cs.ui.ac.id/). The event rundowned 2 main events, Seminar and Parallel Session. Audience and IT practioners discussed on the newest development of big data and information security. IWBIS 2018 was supported by Directorate of Research and Community Service of the University of Indonesia, IEEE Indonesia, Solusi247, idBigData (Big Data Indonesia Community) and KBI2018 (Big Data Indonesia Conference). We hope this activity facilitates updates about research collaborations as well as opportunities to share experience in big data and information security study.
