Celebrating Kartini’ Day, Fasilkom UI held several activities which emphasized on care and creativity (Kepedulian dan Kreativitas). By chosing “Sepucuk Surat untuk R.A. Kartini dari Abad 21. Kami Lebih Peduli dan Kami lebih Kreatif” as the main theme of Kartini’ Day this year, all staff, students, and lecturers of Fasilkom UI were involved to join these activities. The main event of Kartini’ Day Fasilkom UI 2016 held on Friday, April 22nd, 2016. This main event started at 09.00 a.m. and took place in the auditorium of Fasilkom UI, Depok.

Kartini’ Day arranged attractively this year. Pre-events of this Kartini’ Day firstly opened by a charity event called “Bakti Sosial bersama Tim Sukarela Fasilkom UI”. This charity event held on April 8th and 6th, 2016 in two orphanages or Panti Asuhan Anak (PSAA) Tarbiyatul Yatama/Nurul Yakin (Ciampea, Bogor) and PSAA Bhakti Kasih (Bondongan, Bogor). Through this charity event, it hopefully could share the happiness of Fasilkom UI before celebrated Kartini’ Day in accordance with the main theme of Kartini’ Day Fasilkom UI 2016.

Beside those charity events, the pre-event of Fasilkom UI’ Kartini Day were also enlivened by various types of competitions which boosted creativity, such as:

  • Caping Painting Competition (Lomba Lukis Caping/Topi Petani) with “I Love Nature” (Kucinta Alamku) themed on Wednesday April 20th, 2016
  • Origami Competition with “Festival and Thematics Origami” themed on Thursday April 21st, 2016
  • Flanel Creations Competition on Thursday April 21st, 2016
  • Cake Decorating Competition on Friday, April 22nd, 2016
  • Bazaar Rakyat on Friday, April 22nd, 2016
  • Jarikan Fashion Show on Friday, April 22nd, 2016
  • Go Green! Reforestation “Cinta Penghijauan” on Friday, April 22nd, 2016
  • Lastly, the main event: The operetta of “Si Malin Kundang Anak Durhaka” on Friday, April 22nd, 2016.

By those series of events, Fasilkom UI in collaboration with all students who are committee of CGT (Computer Get Together) hope all positive values from Kartini Day can be always shared. Happy Kartini Day!
