12. Responsible Consumption and Production
12.2. Operational measures
12.2.3. Policy waste disposal – hazardous materials
12.2.4. Policy waste disposal – landfill policy
In the Faculty of Computer Science, we differentiate trash can for organic, inorganic, and plastic bottle waste. By doing this, we could treat the waste according to their type. For waste that can still be recycled, we will try to recycle it. While the potentially hazardous waste will be separated from other wastes.
We try to recycle waste as much as possible to reduce the waste we produce. We do that by reusing printed paper that still has blank space on the one side for printing routing slip, writing memos, and printing assignment and report drafts. We also measure our paper usage. On average, the number of paper usage per month at the Faculty of Computer Science is 18 reams.
12.2.5. Policy for minimisation of plastic use
Since 2019, both staff and students in the Faculty of Computer Science are requested to use reusable items, like tumblers and tote bags or cloth bags. By using reusable items, we can reduce plastic use and plastic waste we produce in the Faculty of Computer Science. Moreover, in the Faculty of Computer Science, we have two drinkable-water fountains that all people who visit our faculty could use to refill their tumbler.
12.2.6. Policy for minimisation of disposable items
12.3 Proportion of recycled waste
12.3.1 Waste tracking
Jumlah sampah yang didaur ulang 1-4 TON/tahun
12.3.2 Proportion of waste recycled
Sampah organik kering (pertahun 5-7 ton) dan sampah organik basah (pertahun 3-7 ton)
12.4.1 Publication of a sustainability report
