About the Speaker: Prof. Iyad Dayoub is a Professor of Communications Engineering and the Director of the Telecommunications Technologies & Intelligent Systems Department at IEMN-CNRS UMR 8520. With an extensive background at institutions such as Alcatel Business Systems and Siemens, he is a founder of several engineering specialties and Master’s programs at INSA Hauts-de-France & University Polytechnique Hauts-de-France.
Enabling Technologies for Future ITS and 6G Networks
Topic Description: This session explores the key enabling technologies of future 6G networks and their applications in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The program is designed to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange, covering two primary areas:
* Session 1: Foundational technologies including cognitive radio, dynamic spectrum allocation, massive MIMO, advanced beamforming, non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA), and full-duplex communications.
* Session 2: High-frequency and advanced concepts such as mmWave communications, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS), and smart antenna technologies.
By integrating a collaborative academic environment and hands-on scientific communication activities, this initiative aims to strengthen research synergies and support PhD students in developing impactful research contributions in next-generation wireless systems.
