Introduction of the Faculty Academic System (PSAF) of Fasilkom UI activities for bachelor’s degree program have been taking place from 15, 16 and 23 August 2018 in UI Depok Campus. Dean of Fasilkom UI, Mirna Adriani, Ph.D. talked over the ongoing Industry 4.0 Era to the new students. She encouraged the students to be a perseverant individual and never stop innovating as well as implement creativities in order to pace up with the recent development. “Complex problem solving is a skill that is necessary to possess in order to embrace 4.0 Industry. This has been becoming number one skill. The second factor is the critical thinking,” She explained.
Introduction of the Faculty Academic System (PSAF) of Fasilkom UI activities comprised by many sessions: (1) Social Media Seminar by Widijanto Satyo Nugroho, Ph.D., (2) Academy Ethics, Campus Life and K3L by Dr. Yugo K. Isal, (3) Stress Management by Dr. Kasiyah Junus, (4) Tips to Succeed in the Fasilkom UI by Fadel Muhammad, S. Kom. In addition to curriculum session, academic procedures and processes by Dr. Petrus Mursanto (Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs Fasilkom UI) and Puspa Indahati, M.Sc. (Manager of Academic and Student Affairs).
The breakdown information by every study program such as, Computer Science and Information System, were explained by Dr. Indra Budi (Information System Head Program) & Ari Saptawijaya, Ph.D. (Computer Science Head Program). An interesting session was a discussion about scholarship and student affairs information by Iis Afriyanti, M.Sc. (Coordinator of Fasilkom UI Student Affairs) then facilities and information system Fasilkom UI sessions by Satrio Baskoro Yudhoatmojo, M.T.I (Manager of Procurement and Facility Maintenance
Fasilkom UI). The final activity of the Introduction of the Faculty Academic System (PSAF) of Fasilkom UI was all performances from student activity units like art, sports, science and so on.
The industry era 4.0 nowadays considers softskill mastery to have a critical role. Regarding this, Fasilkom UI keeps producing Information and Communication Technology human resources who are able to combine and implement both softskill and hardskill, and uphold their integrity. “After graduation, there are many opened opportunities for its graduates. The growing number of new startups has brought effects on high qualified IT skill being demanded,” stated by the Dean of Fasilkom UI, Mirna Adriani.
