On Monday (25/5), Fasilkom UI held a doctoral promotion for the Computer Science doctorate conferment to Lukman. The event was held in Fasilkom UI Auditorium with the dissertation titled Knowledge Management Model, Architecture, and Key Success Factor of Genetic Resources and Traditional Knowledge.
This research aims to develop a knowledge management model called I-Grest (Indonesian Genetic Resources and Traditional Knowledge). It was built using soft system methodology. In order to analyze the specific needs related to I-Grest model of information system, the TOGAF Architecture Frameworks was selected as a form of architecture development approach. The metadata standards, tools, services and applications to build the model architecture has been developed using biodiversity informatics approach. Prototype models of I-Grest was developed using determinant success factor assessment using Shannon entropy method approach. The assessment has shown that there were 23 factors of success determinants that are grouped into four aspects, which are: organization/institution, individual, capabilities, and performance. From all factors, the 3 dominant factors are (1) data security, connection and network, (2) technology and database function in I-Grest, and (3) human resources.
This session was led by Prof. Belawati H. Widjaja, Ph.D. with Prof. Dr. Aniati Murni Arymurthy and Dana Indra Sensuse, Ph.D. as the promoter and co-promoter respectively. The examiner team was consisted of Prof. Dr. Engkos K. Natakusumah, Dr. Eko K. Budiardjo, Yudho Giri Sucahyo, Ph.D., Dr. Indra Budi, and Dr, A. Nizar Hidayanto. The dissertation was presented well and succeeded to get a highly distinctive result. As the 40th graduate from Fasilkom UI Doctorate study program, a Computer Science doctorate was then conferred to Dr. Lukman.
