Faculty of Computer Science Universitas Indonesia team succeeded in marking its existence into Singapore in MonsoonSIM Enterprise Resource Management Competition which had been organized by the Monsoon Academy on 20th September 2018. ‘Basic A’ Team consisted of Ricky Chandra Johanes (Information System 2016), Kristianto (2016), Marco Kenata (Computer Science 2016), Kelly William (Computer Science 2016) and Jessica Alexia Jaury (Information System 2016).
The lengthy selection process had become one challenge to the team. Over 3 months long period of process to pass through, began from training to selection process that were held at home or in Universitas Indonesia, then moved place to Jogja for continual selection process, and ended by obtaining the big 5 teams from Indonesia to represent and compete in Singapore.
This competition was also joined by the other Asian countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, the Phillipines, Vietnam, Hongkong and Singapore as the host country. The MonsoonSIM Enterprise Resource Management Competition is application based business simulation, where all the competition participants make use of applications provided by Monsoon Academy in order to manage a business flow in a company.
‘Basic A’ Team continuing hard work was stopped in the semifinal round. However, the members of the team had a chance to take part in Avenger Game. ‘Basic A’ team was eventually splitted to join the other member from different nation team to compete for Avenger Awards.
In the Avenger Game, Ricky Chandra Johanes and his team came out winning the Avenger Champion while Kelly William with his team achieving Avenger 1st Runner-Up. We congratulate the winners and hope them to continue to inspire the youths in Indonesia.
