On Monday (11/1), The Faculty of Computer Science of Universitas Indonesia (Fasilkom UI) held a Doctoral Promotion Trial of Computer Science to Mr. Soetrisno. With the dissertation title “Adjacency Hyperedges Matrix, a Hypergraph Model for the Identification of Structural Relation Object Composition.”, the trial was held in the Auditorium room of Fasilkom UI Depok.
In the research, the researcher conducted the development of a hypergraph model called Adjacency Hyperedges Matrix (which is a modification of the Adjacency vertices matrix), defined the similarity on object-plural connection, and developed six algorithms. Hypergraph was chosen to bet the representative model of the object-plural connection in this research because hyperedge (edge) is able to connect more than two vertices. Vertex is used to present object and hyperedge is used to present features or pairs.
There are six algorithms that were developed in the research that act as (1) algorithm for constructing hypergraph from incident matrix, (2) Adjacency hyperedges matrix algorithm and four similarities object-plural connection to ensure the dataset is partially similar, (3) recognition algorithm and construction of the structural relation object composition, (4) algorith optimizatiron in relation to the structural relation of object composition which is poset that is transitive closure by simplifying poset representation as object composition that is identic, which is equivalence class, (5) algorithm to eliminate transitive path on poset that is transitive closure, producing Hasse diagram, and (6) recognition algorithms forest component of graph or graph. The result of this research stated that the developed model is able to identify the structural relation of object composition, simplifies representation of the object composition structural relationships and identify the components of the graph.
The Doctoral promotion trial is chaired by the Dean of Fasilkom UI, Mirna Adriani, Ph.D. Working as the promoter was Prof. Heru Suhartanto, Ph.D. and Prof. Belawati H. Widjaja, Ph.D as Co-promoter. The examiners that were also brought along are: Dr. A. Nizar Hidayanto, Prof. Dr. Kudang Boro Seminar, Setiadi Yazid, Ph.D., Dana Indra Sensuse, Ph.D., and Dr. R. Yugo Kartono Isal. The result of the dissertation was presented as Highly Satisfactory. As the 50th graduate of the Fasilkom UI Doctoral Progam, the title of Doctor of Computer Science was given to Dr. Soetrisno.
