Fasilkom UI in collaboration with FK UI has achieved Merit Award in Research & Development category in the 2014 APICTA. In this event, Fasilkom UI presented e-Cardio, an android-based integrated system for heart disease monitoring and early detection. This application is built by Fasilkom UI team consisted of Dr. Eng. Wisnu Jatmiko (Supervisor), Hanif Arief Wisesa, S.Kom; Grafika Jati, S.Kom; M. Anwar Ma’sum, M.Kom; and Aprinaldhi, M.Kom along with Dr. dr. Budi Wiweko, dr. Riyan Hari Kurniawan and dr. Bram Pradipta from FK UI.
The 2014 APICTA 2014 was held in Jakarta, Indonesia, on November 27-30, 2014. This 14th APICTA was joined with the 13 economics members which are Australia, Brunei Darussalam, China, China Taipei, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Langka, Thailand, and Vietnam. With a total of 183 creations, each economic member presented a maximum of 3 creations from the available 17 categories.
There are two kinds of awards in the 2014 APICTA, which are Winner and Merit Award. Winner Award is the highest award for the highest score above the required minimum score, while Merit Award is for the second highest score with a maximum range 5% less than the highest score and should be above the required minimum score. In other words, if Winner Award is for the first winner, Merit Award is for the runner-up.
Eko K. Budiardjo (Lecturer from Fasilkom UI) admits that Fasilkom UI does not join APICTA every year, thus this year’s creation is expected to give beneficial contribution for the medical society in Indonesia. The following are APICTA awards that have been achieved by Fasilkom UI:
- Research & Development category: APICTA 2002 (Winner Award) and APICTA 2014 (Merit Award).
- Tertiary Student Project category: APICTA 2003 (Merit Award) and APICTA 2012 (Merit Award).
